What we do
Bakgatla Baphuting Holdings is actively involved in mining and resource development in the North West, with a current focus on the 5-hectare mining portion in Maologane. This asset represents the beginning of a broader journey to build responsible, community-linked mining operations that create both commercial and social value.
The 5HA Maologane operation is being developed with a strong focus on compliance, responsible mining practices and local participation. It forms part of our practical commitment to building from the ground up — developing assets in a way that supports job creation, skills transfer and sustainable economic activity in the surrounding community.
Bakgatla Baphuting Holdings is working in partnership with Maatla Core Holdings to strengthen technical, operational and strategic capacity. This partnership supports a more structured approach to asset development, responsible operations and long-term growth, while ensuring that the local community remains central to the opportunity.
